Water is both a blessing and celebration in Khmer culture. Montra Nivesha welcomes you in our traditional Cambodian way, the authentic way in which we truly believe.
It is known that the land of the Khmer is full of water and set on the greatest lake in Southeast Asia, the Tonle Sap. Montra Nivesha welcomes you in our Cambodian way, the way we truly know how how. The purity of our drinking water offered to you in the room and throughout the property is produced via a high-quality imported purification system that we have installed in the hotel.
Water is essential to every one of us. For the Cambodian people, water is more than just water itself, but a spiritual essence that is intrinsically linked to celebrations. A blessing for the prosperity and sereiniy of every living thing on earth. A celebration to mark the birthplace of the Angkor empire, the miraculous waters of the Tonle Sap. The Khmer people greet their guests with an offering of water with a few petals of jasmine flowers, a sacred symbol of purity. Rain symbolizes the joy and harmonious, the marking of the start of the planting season for our rice and the replenishment of our rivers and lakes. The vitality to the well-being of the landscape and people.
Traditional artists perform a sacred dance in asking for heavenly waters to saturate the landscape and bring fertility to the earth, and serenity to the people of Cambodia.
Being a blessing home, Montra Nivesha commits to provide you the purified drinking water available on tap in the room and throughout the property. This drinking water is produced by a high-quality imported purification system that we have installed in the hotel. Furthermore, we have a purified water station for a free refilling at Sala Kdei, our very own traditional Khmer house overlooking the royal bathing pond of Sra Srang, one of the only such water stations located around the temples of Angkor.
